Trainer and Behaviourist
I endeavor to help dog owners with their dogs.
To provide mental and physical exercise when their time is limited, away from home or their breed of dog may need a little more.
To advise and give owners the tools to help their dogs to be confident and balanced through training.
We provide walks in a safe environment, taking them to areas that stimulate your dog's sensory needs out in the countryside. Not only does your dog get the physical activity that they need through play, but also it wakens and stimulates your dog’s senses and brains.
Training Classes and One to One sessions guide you in the right direction to help build confidence and give them the building blocks they need. We use positive reinforcement skills and games. Teaching your dog to engage with you, stay close and be happy is the key.
Dogs… They have always been in my life. From a guarding Corgi who wouldn’t let anyone near my pram. A lovable Standard Dachshund to keep us company. Two bonkers Cocker Spaniels who kept me on my toes. And an adorable Labrador cross that bonded my marriage and was a nanny to my children. To now, a Chocolate Labrador and Border Terrier, who is our family’s heart and my business partners!
I taught in Further Education for many years and always strive to learn as much as possible. I am constantly updating and continuing my knowledge in Dog Training and Behaviour. I'm a fully qualified Dog Trainer with the IMDT. An Approved Dog Trainer by the Dog Training College. A Pro Dog Trainer and Geek with Absolute Dogs and hold many specialist certificates. At the moment I'm studying for my Level 5 Dog Behaviour Diploma with Canine Principles. I’m DBS Checked, regularly update my Canine First Aid and I’m fully Insured. I am also a proud member of the Pet Professionals Network. We are a network of people and an animal-friendly community who make the welfare of animals and humans a priority. We raise awareness of unethical business practices and raise the standards of the industry to provide pet owners with the most trusted of services. With an emphasis on long-term support, we ensure you get the best results with pet owners.
We are proud to support and follow the principles of the Hierarchy of Dog's Needs in which our Members proactively promote force-free or fear-free training and handling methods.
That leads me to the one that changed my direction in life and where I am now.
We adopted Tigs, our loveable Chocie, from the RSPCA when he was nine months old. He didn't know a lot at the time and was going through adolescence! With a lot of love, patience, and training, he enjoys life to the full! Scoob, we fostered and then adopted her when her past owner became poorly. She was a previous puppy farm dog and was very quiet and subdued. We have tapped into her inner terrier and she now explores and has a new lease of life. Both love having fun with their friends and come along on the walks too or they both demonstrate for me at the training classes. Otherwise, they are happy to have a snooze at home.
Thank you to all my clients whom have made recommendations and have given me reviews. Their highly valued.
